Raised Beds, Planters & Border Edging

Our woven raised beds combine traditional craftsmanship with thoughtful, practical garden design. They are woven with willow, lined with timber or Corten steel, and capped to suit your garden aesthetic, to create a naturally durable structure that defines planting areas with warm, organic texture. Perfect for kitchen gardens or formal flower borders, these bespoke raised beds add form, function, and beauty. Built to last, they settle naturally into the landscape, shaping elegant, sustainable growing spaces.

Timber Raised Beds

Quality, beautiful, and low‑maintenance, our timber raised beds bring structure and style to gardens of any size. These handcrafted designs combine traditional formality with a rustic, natural look. The solid timber lining protects the willow wattle from within, while a broad timber capping provides both a refined finish and a convenient ledge to sit on, perfect for gardening or enjoying a glass of wine among the flowers.

Construction

All the visible timber is our own locally sourced sweet chestnut or oak, felled, milled, and finished by us. Behind the woven exterior, the hidden soil‑retaining boards are made from robust 2‑inch FSC‑certified treated timber, protecting the willow panels from contact with the soil.

Each framed woven panel is crafted to fit neatly against the structure, finished with sawn corner posts and wide capping boards featuring smart mitred corners. The design allows the panels to be individually removed or replaced if ever damaged or weathered, without dismantling the entire bed. For complete longevity, the interior can be lined with a waterproof membrane, creating a truly durable and sustainable raised bed that blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary garden functionality.

Freeform Raised Beds, Border Edging & Planters

Our woven willow planters and free‑form raised beds combine natural texture with flexible design to define planting areas. Essentially, these are short willow fences woven around a suitable soil lining, or used simply as a border edge to frame or protect a garden bed.

The soil‑retaining structure may be formed from Corten steel, shaped into sinuous curves or crisp contemporary lines. Or simply a landscaping bag or pot! The elegant willow surround softens hard landscaping features with a natural edge that sits comfortably in any garden.

For strength and longevity, we use discreet steel uprights concealed within the weave, finished at the top with a refined basket‑style border. The result is a versatile, durable and naturally elegant border solution that connects traditional woven craftsmanship with modern gardening needs.

We also run a course in making your own woven willow planter if you'd like to learn how to create more of these for your garden!

Plant Supports & Rose Arches

Climbing plants need structure, and our willow plant supports provide an elegant, natural solution. We make a range of handcrafted supports, from conical frames between 4 ft and 8 ft tall for climbers, to herbaceous domes that help keep spreading plants upright and tidy.

For more architectural features, we also create woven willow rose arches and domes, often built around discreet steel subframes for added strength and easy re‑weaving in the future. Each piece is designed to weather naturally and sit comfortably within its surroundings.

In spring, we also run willow weaving courses, where you can learn how to make your own plant supports to take home. Join us for a relaxed day connecting with this traditional craft and bring a touch of it into your own garden.
