Price range: £200.00 through £290.00

Personal Tuition

This is where you can buy a day or a few of personal tuition at a date of your choosing. Ideal for those who are time poor and would like to complete a project in less time, or would simply like a far more focussed tuition approach that allows you to really hone your skills and improve your understanding. Be it woven garden products, willow chairs, or basketry, we can tailor the time to your needs.

Simply book the number of days you’d like and we will then contact you to arrange a mutually convenient date – Weekdays Only.

Personal tuition costs £200/day for 1 person and £290/day for 2, plus a materials cost. This cost will vary depending upon the activity, but could be as little as £15/person for a small basket, up to £50/person for a Bent Stick Chair. Material costs will be agreed in advance and payable during the course.

Lunch is not provided on Personal Tuition days, but hot drinks will be readily available.

Your Tutor

Dave Jackson, aka The Stick Smith, has been willow weaving and making willow furniture since 1999. At this time he started teaching rural crafts to excluded school children, quickly expanding to teaching adults. Dave has now been teaching for over 20 years and delights in showing people how to turn a humble bundle of sticks into objects of beauty with utility.

Materials & Tools

All materials & tools will be provided but some courses may attract a small additional fee for pre-prepared elements - we will let you know if this is the case. And if there is anything else you should bring along, we'll let you know before the course commences.

Food & Refreshments

A light lunch using the best local organic ingredients, with tea & fresh coffee throughout the day. Please let us know if you have any allergies or special dietary requirements.

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel for any reason we will give you a full refund when more than 4 weeks notice is given before the course start date. A 50% refund will be given with notice of between 2 & 4 weeks. If you have to cancel within 2 weeks of the course start date you will not receive a refund. Other terms & options may apply, such as transferring to another course or receiving a credit note in the form of a Course Gift Voucher.
