On this one-day course you will learn the essential elements of willow basket making You will make one small basket of your choice, such as a fruit bowl or waste paper bin.

Using a range of willow varieties and colours you’ll learn how to weave the base, raise the sides and finish the top with an attractive border to create a small, functional basket. You will also learn about soaking and mellowing the willow, making it wonderfully supple for weaving.

This course is ideal for beginners and is a great opportunity to learn the basics before moving on to more advanced basketry projects and courses.
