We can supply small orders of willow for your craft projects, floristry flower arranging and planting. Supplies may not be available all year round - Green willow will only be available from winter to early spring. All willow is for collection or local delivery only.
We source our willow from a number of sites that we manage ourselves, including our own Willow Field at Hardwick Estate where the willow is grown following organic principles. We also buy willow from growers in Somerset to bolster our stock. All willow is from the UK.
We have a small volunteer group to help us harvest our home grown willow. In return you get friendly company and a home baked treat to keep you going. You also get to take a small bundle of willow home for you to craft with.
We can make a set of mixed weavers for you so that you can make your basket at home. Just let us know what you need and we'll put it together. We can even soak it for you so that its ready to weave when you collect.
Living Willow
Salix Viminalis or the 'Common Osier' is perfect for the long robust stems needed for most living willow structures. We usually have plenty of freshly cut rods in stock during the winter season. Living Willow must be planted during the winter months and before spring.
Hurdle Willow
We can usually supply materials for small projects throughout the year. With a combination of our own supplies and those bought in from Somerset, we are usually well stocked. A range of varieties with varying colours can create a wonderfully textured hurdle!
Florestry Willow
Some willows have amazingly vibrant colours (such as this home grown Brittany Green), and others have attractive coloured catkins. They can look lovely when displayed with flowers or dried seed heads. We keep back some of the best for Flower Arranging.
Craft Project Willow
We have a wide array of green (fresh), brown (dried), white (bark removed) and coloured willows, as well as dried stout sticks. We've most likely got what you need for school projects & craft activities.
Willow Setts for Planting
Available during the Winter only, we can provide fresh willow setts (approx 30cm long) for establishing your own ornamental willow trees or productive willow beds. They will be cut fresh to order and should be planted soon after collection or delivery.
